Next meeting October 5th

The next meeting of the Tillamook County Republican Central Committee will be Thursday, October 5th at the Tillamook PUD Building Carl Rawe meeting room (just inside the rear door) located at 1115 Pacific Avenue (Hwy 101 North) in Tillamook. The business meeting will start at 7PM. Light refreshments will be provided by the Chair.

Those of you not receiving this E-Mail from our Mail Chimp account (tillamookgop.org) will notice that my personal & political E-Mail address has changed from donodoc@centurylink.net to donodoc@charter.net. I have been struggling with CenturyLink for some time & with great regret, it became necessary to switch to a different provider. Any of you who’ve had to do this know what a huge hassle this is. My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

This month’s meeting we will be discussing our upcoming holiday raffle and the upcoming ORP Platform Convention in Bend Oct. 26th, 27th & 28^th.

The last ORP platform can be seen at our website www.tillamookgop.org. This is the starting point for this year’s convention. Please take the time to go over the 18 “Planks” that document the Oregon Republican Party principles in 2015. A lot has happened in the last 2 years in Oregon & the country. If you’d like to see changes in any of those individual “Planks”, eliminate one or more, or have suggestions for new “Planks”, here is your chance as a Tillamook Republican or Precinct Committee Person to get those suggestions to your convention delegates, Vice-Chair David Downs, PCP Cathy Holtz and myself, Chair Thomas Donohue. We will bring those suggestions to the convention as your representatives.

This convention is being hosted at the famous Riverhouse Resort. Any Oregon Republican can attend if credentialed, but just elected convention delegates can participate in the individual “Plank” caucuses and vote on the platform. If any Tillamook Republican would like to attend this exciting convention, please feel free to contact me & I will assist you in attending.
