WND founder, editor-in-chief and CEO Joseph Farah will return to familiar territory on Feb. 13 as the keynote speaker at the Josephine County, Oregon, Republican Central Committee’s 2016 Lincoln Day Dinner.

He will speak about the state of politics in America and the state of the press.

“As a former resident and business owner in Josephine County, I look forward to returning to visit some old friends and to share insights on the 2016 campaign as well as the state of the press in America, an institution in which I have toiled for the last 40 years of my life,” Farah said.

WND Vice President and Managing Editor David Kupelian will also speak at the event.

In a statement provided to WND, Josephine County Republican Party chairman Joshua Robinson expressed gratitude for the presence of Farah and Kupelian at his party’s annual event.

“This is a rare opportunity to hear from these two prominent fighters for American liberty and traditional values,” Robinson wrote. “When Joseph Farah, David Kupelian and their colleagues at [WND] speak, they speak to conservatives, libertarians and common sense people throughout our nation and throughout the world – people who are deeply concerned about the sociological, religious, economic, and military chaos of our age.”

Robinson lauded Farah and Kupelian for their contributions to the fight to halt the ongoing leftist “transformation” of America.

“The battle we are now in to save our constitutional Republic and to save the bedrock values of our nation – the finest Republic and the finest national values that all of human history has produced – has entered a critical phase,” Robinson wrote. “We need leadership to help us win.

“That leadership is here. One outstanding element of it is embodied in [WND] and the men who will be speaking to our Lincoln Day Dinner in Josephine County on February 13.”

The annual dinner and fundraising auction will be held at the Josephine County Fairgrounds Pavilion Building, located at 1451 Fairgrounds Road in Grants Pass, Oregon. A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner to be served at 6:30. Dinner is set to include “Santa Maria Tri-tip, barbecued chicken, buckboard potatoes, spring salad with candied walnuts and raspberry vinaigrette, and a dessert auction.”

Attendees will have the chance to meet several Oregon state representatives as well as some Republican candidates for the 2016 elections.

Peter DeFazio, co-founder of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Art Robinson will also speak during the event.
