November meeting

The next meeting of the Tillamook County Republican Central Committee will be Thursday, November 2^nd, at the Tillamook PUD Building Carl Rawe meeting room (just inside the rear door) located at 1115 Pacific Avenue (Hwy 101 North) in Tillamook. The business meeting will start at 7PM. Light refreshments will be provided by the Chair.

You can always tell when the election cycle starts as candidates love to come to Tillamook and talk about their candidacies. This month we are privileged to introduce a new face to the political arena for US House District 5, Mr. Robert Reynolds. He has some very interesting perspectives about District 5 & how he can help our rural communities (one topic hint – FEMA maps).

We will also be talking about the ORP Platform Convention last week in Bend that our Vice-Chair David Downs, myself and Bonus Delegate Cathy Holtz attended. One of Tillamook’s suggestions was adopted in the new platform. Several other Tillamook suggestions were either already in the platform language or were merged with other suggestions. As usual, this was frustrating and tedious as Conservative passions were certainly on stage. However the dinner and luncheon speakers were outstanding.
