The next meeting of the Tillamook County Republican Central Committee will be Thursday, July 6th at the Tillamook PUD Building Carl Rawe meeting room (just inside the rear door) located at 1115 Pacific Avenue (Hwy 101 North) in Tillamook. The business meeting will start at 7PM. Light refreshments will be provided by the Chair.

This is an important meeting to prepare for the upcoming Tillamook County Fair in August. All of our Fair fees have been paid. However………………………..

Our financial condition is critical.  We have less than $100 in our bank account.  The good news is that we finally have the fishing trip raffle ready to go.  I’ve printed 100 of the 325 tickets targeted for this fundraiser.  Our costs will be about $420 plus any advertising we utilize (probably the Shopper).  These costs we can recover from ticket sales.

The tickets are $5 each & it is imperative that everyone try to sell as many as we can.  I apologize for not getting this together sooner but I had difficulty tracking down the correct person to work with on the accommodations part of this prize package.  To summarize, the package includes a guided fall salmon fishing trip on the Nestucca River with John Harrell’s famous Pacific City Fly Fishing Service for 2, 2 night’s accommodations for 2 at the Inn At Cape Kiwanda as well as 2 steak or seafood dinners at the Sportsman’s Pub N Grub, also in Pacific City.  The package retails at about $750.

I will have tickets available at this meeting.

Finally, we will be discussing the end of one of the most devastating legislative sessions in memory for Conservative principles.  Our state is going to the devil in a hand basket.  Issues reflecting anti-2nd amendment, anti-life, higher taxes for small businesses & individual taxpayers & more unreasonable business regulations continue to plague Oregonians, championed by valley liberal ideologues.  Critical needed legislation for transportation infrastructure and PERS reform, still are ignored (the old kick the can syndrome).

I know we work hard at getting Conservative individuals elected, but we need to work harder.  The Tillamook Fair has traditionally been our best vehicle to highlight our issues to Tillamook County citizens.  This year, I’d like to see an “All Hands On Deck” effort at the Fair stressing the importance of getting the state’s spending problems under control and addressing the state’s obvious move toward more socialist legislation.  Session after legislative session our Constitutional individual freedoms are being taken from us.  We must prevail.  To change this downward slide we must elect Conservatives and use the process to fight our opponents every step of the way.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone next Thursday evening.

       Yours In Liberty,
